Are Wii Us region locked, can I buy games sold in the USA & play it on this console that I’m buying from the UK? Also can we trust this site were buying from?

They are region locked sadly so buying a uk wii u means you will need to buy the games from the uk also. Yes you can trust the site, shopto are quite established.

I paid exactly £149 ($224) for a white Wii U, which included VAT and delivery, brand new from Amazon UK. I also picked up Zombi U for £8 used, so it was a decent deal. At launch, a white Wii U cost £230 ($336) tops. Looking at Wii U and 3DS pricing, the mind boggles how they’re selling for virtually the same price. 3DS packs can top £250 ($377), directly from Nintendo UK. The Wii U will never pick up at any price. Flagging 3DS sales, Nintendo releases yet another 2 models. But pricing is yet again a rip off. Nintendo needs to change the record with a new handheld at a realistic price with plenty of games. But 3DS games can top £40 ($60), the same price as Wii U games. Nintendo should release an all in one console (an iPad clone) that can be connected to a TV. It’s halfway there in the form of the Wii U GamePad.
